The Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries will host the Waste Management Khoro and Land Remediation Summit from 18 to 20 September 2019 in Kimberly, Northern Cape.

The Summit will be convened under the theme Good Green Deeds, Asbestos and Land Remediation Summit, to facilitate a national dialogue on pertinent issues related to the management of chemicals and remediation of contaminated land to ensure sustainable management of environmental resources.

The summit will bring together academics, government professionals, consultants, industries and technology developers/experts, providing a network on interdisciplinary research, integrating technology. The deliberations will assist government and the industries in their waste management responsibilities.
